Manifesto

Give first.

B2B outreach got stuck in a loop: everyone talks about themselves, and nobody listens. We think there’s a better way to earn someone’s attention, and it’s been around a lot longer than email.

Here’s what we believe, and why Content Hook exists.

01

Attention is earned, not bought.

Your prospects owe you nothing. Not a reply, not a click, not fifteen minutes. The only way to get their attention is to make it worth giving.

02

“We do” is the worst opening line.

Nobody wakes up wondering what your company does. They wake up wondering how they stack up, what they’re missing and what their peers know that they don’t.

03

Peers are the most persuasive people alive.

A CISO will ignore a vendor’s claim and read every word of what twenty other CISOs said. So we go and ask those twenty.

04

Give something real.

Not a recycled eBook, not a “quick tip”. Original insight they can’t get anywhere else, given freely and with no strings attached.

05

Then the pitch is a favour returned.

Reciprocity is one of the oldest instincts we have. Give first, and the conversation that follows feels fair rather than forced.

06

Small and honest beats big and vague.

Twenty senior voices, clearly described, beat a thousand anonymous ones. We always say who we asked and how many.

07

Research should start conversations.

Reports that sit on a landing page waiting for downloads are a waste of good data. We design every study backwards from the first email it will open.

Who we are

Focused. Senior. Unreasonably obsessed with replies.

We’re not a research giant, and we don’t want to be. Every study we run is designed around one thing: your next reply.

Reply rate3×

More replies when our clients’ outreach switched from pitching to giving.

Every study15–25

Screened senior decision-makers. Real titles, real answers.

Our only job1

Getting your buyers to want to talk to you. Everything we do serves that.

Believe this too?

Then we should probably talk.
